Dear scholastic chess player, coach, teacher and other interested parties: Weibel Chess will have three quads once again this summer. The tournaments will be held on Saturday, June 26, July 10 & August 14.

A minimum of one trophy will be awarded to each quad (four players)--if there is a tie for first place, even if it is a 4 way tie, all tied players will obtain a trophy. Anyone who attends all three quads and doesn't win a trophy will receive a participation medal.

This year we are producing a special multicolor "I Survived the Weibel Chess Summer Quads" for $10 for anyone who attends two or three of the quads. You can check out the design at: http://calchess.webjump.com/QuadTShirt.gif

If you are a member of CalChess (a separate membership then the US Chess Federation) you can join all three quads for $24 otherwise all three are $30. Individual quads are $12. (Please make checks out to Weibel Chess and mail to Alan Kirshner, 66 Indian Hill Place, Fremont, CA 94539)

All registered players must be at the Weibel Elementary School Multi-purpose Room, 45135 S. Grimmer Blvd., Fremont, CA 94539 by 9:30 AM. Late registration is at 9 AM. Everyone should be done by 1:45 PM. Trophies will be given out as each quad finishes. You are placed in quads by your rating, grade in school and your club or team. At least we do our best to reach this goal.
