BCC MEMBERS - 06/16/05
Club member, Harold Edelstein passed away on September 11, 2003. He was one of the original founding members of BCC, and contributed much time and energy to the Club during his lifetime. Harold was an expert chess player and violinist. He was a good friend to many and will be missed by all at the Club.

October 4 -- Club Championship, 13th Goodwin Memorial - RESULTS
The annual Burlingame Club Championship, The Goodwin Memorial, begins on October 4. This seven-round event ends November 15. Entry fee is $20 for adults, $15 for under All games are played at a time control of two hours per player.
The Goodwin Memorial commemorates the memory of Wilfred Goodwin, an original founder of the Burlingame Club (along with Alfred Hansen), who for forty years was a tireless worker on behalf of our Club and youth chess throughout the mid-Peninsula area.
The Goodwin is our largest annual event. Local master Rodolfo Hernandez has promised to defend his title as Club Champion against the usual lineup of strong challengers.Sept 27 ---G/30 Reg Rated Quads & Next Prize Night - Click for Winners

RIP Jim Mongini, longtime BCC member who passed July 29, condolences to wife Diana , son Tony & other family members. Jim was a unique beautiful spirit, helped out BCC tirelessly during founding years, loved chess & was a dedicated inspiring father as well. We'll all miss him.
