REGISTRATION POLICY

   In an effort to start play more promptly on the first night of a tournament, all future registration will start at 7:00 and end by 7:45. Players arriving late will be given first round byes or paired with other late arrivals at the Director’s discretion.
   For Round Robin and Quad events, groups will be formed by 7:45. Late arrivals will only be fitted into a group if there is an opening (you can still play in the Swiss section).
   Prepaid entries are encouraged for those players who have trouble arriving by 7:45.

FORMATS: Tournaments begin approximately every 6 weeks. USCF-rated Swiss System - usually two or three Sections.  Round Robin or other formats when announced.  Quick Chess Quads, Occasional Blitz events, Simultaneous Exhibitions, etc between tournaments.
CLUB OPEN-7:00 pm GAMES START-7:30 pm

Typical Time Controls: Swiss Tournaments - Game in 2 hrs, Sudden Death Rules.  Dual Rated Chess Quads (USCF rated for both Regular & Quick ratings) - Game in 30 minutes, Sudden Death Rules.  Blitz Chess (unrated) - Game in 5 minutes, Sudden Death Rules.

COMPUTERIZED PAIRINGS AND RATING CHANGES: Follow your progress each week.

PRIZES: Trophies, Chess books, Mag subs., clocks, chess sets, surprise gifts!!
